Bono interrupts Sunday Bloody Sunday when a brawl erupts in front of the stage. 'You see that?' he shouts, pointing to the flags at the back of the stage. 'That's a white flag.'" This is the same version as quoted on Justin's site...sound quality is in the 2.5 to 3/5 range...a few words from someone talking between the songs have been preserved for posterity on this recording (little did they know at the time that such fame would be theirs). Some of the transitions between tracks are rough, not sure if the taper wanted to save tape, or whether someone upstream from this version did a poor job with track splitting. According to Justin, the source for tracks seven through nine on disc 2 are King Biscuit Flower Hour, May 5, 1983 Boston, Massachusetts...and track ten, disc 2 is also thought to be from King Biscuit, unknown date...I have left these in the torrent. An unexplained discrepancy...Pimm says New Year's Day was not played...the setlist archive also does not show it as having been played...but it is here, sounds like the same quality as the rest of the recording...and it would seem difficult to imagine them not playing NYD during a War tour concert. Lars made nice cover art for this, at the archives site. cdr (obtained in trade, unknown taper or lineage, lossless) > EAC to wav > FLAC Frontend 1.7.1 to FLAC Level 6 http://home.mchsi.com/~petergoode111
